Chasing the snow

Posted by
Marian (Bangor, United Kingdom) on 1 February 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A mate texted me to say that there were blizzards in Betws Y Coed, I didn't need a second invite. By time we got there, there was some lovely pristine snow, but no blizzard; it's all about timing.

This was taken near Pen Y Gwryd, and I liked the light and its' reflection in the water.

I am not taking that many photos at the moment, probably not a bad thing on the whole. I really want to get out and about for a decent walk, all weather dependent tho.

Have spent a lot of the day processing images according to revised submission guidelines. Just takes so long.

Well it was well worth the text. A nice scene made all the better by some snow. The snow and the grass works well together as does the sky. Like the perspective of the lake and mountains. One small thing, your watermark would be better at the top for a photo such as this.

this is an interesting composition - looks very desolate and the mood is enhanced by dramatic clouds in the background - nice work!
