Wild horsesPosted by Marian (Bangor, United Kingdom) on 31 December 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. I haven't done that well with the blog for the past month, no excuses. These are some of the wild ponies in Dyffryn Ogwen, North Wales. Not sure whether they are the Carneddi ponies or not. They were surprisingly friendly, managed to stroke one and get nipped by another. These three were running in response to the call of another pony that was just out of shot. The line 'the head of the herd was calling' ran through my mind... A mixed day yesterday, my birthday and on the same day one of my best friends died. Not feeling much like looking forward to the New Year. Hoping that it is an improvement on 2009!
